Factual accuracy
Historical, biographical and astronomical content on this site is drawn from generally-accepted public knowledge and verified where possible against the linked external sources. Despite editorial care, errors and omissions are possible. If you find one, please report it via the contact page and we will correct it promptly.
Year-of-event conventions
Years are given in the proleptic Gregorian calendar where applicable. BCE/CE notation is used in place of BC/AD. Astronomical year numbering (in which 1 BCE = year 0, 2 BCE = year −1, etc.) is not used; "1 BCE" on this site means the historical year 1 BCE.
